I thought I would start a separate post for the "Buzz Bot" build. I figured we should change the name as some of the bots we built during Septembers meeting did not contain bristles. It was fun seeing how others imagined their bot. Ive posted pictures of the three designs so far under the "Photos" section as well as some action videos on YouTube.

I watched the videos---Ben's bot didn't seem to go as fast or forward as it did back at the meeting....

I had to get into the fun and build one. I used 2-AAA batteries and small pager motor I had in the junk box--A fun build.

I uploaded a picture to the photo album and here is the YouTube link:
http://www.youtube.co... I think I need to go with a smaller diameter wire for the "bumper"; the 12 gauge adds a lot of weight for this little motor. |

Nice Steve. Add another design to the list. Wonder how "spring" bumpers would work?

I don't know about spring bumpers, but I've made three vibrating robots with sursprise bumpers. I'm turning a random, solitary bot into a self-assembling social networking machine! Well, the social networking part I'm still working on, but it self-assembles, without extra circuitry. Hopefully, I will be able to make a couple more before tommorrow's meetup.
Then I will fire my creations up and mwuhahahahaaaa!!!!! |
