I had seen some of the Wii Nunchuck to Arduino interfaces on the web and wanted to build one. I worked on it some this weekend and am able to control a pair of servos with the Nunchuck. The base servo is taped to the table top and is controlled by the Roll of the Nunchuck. The top servo is controlled by the pitch of the Nunchuck. People have written Arduino libraries for the wii nunchuck and RC servo control, so it was pretty easy to get going. I started playing around with a very simple "smoothing" algorithm to take out some of the noise from the wii nunchuck.

Here's a video:

LOL Sweet Steve! I know you told me you were working on it but seeing it brings it into perspective. I was giggling with delight. You should definitely bring it to whistle stop.

I will bring it to the whistle stop for sure. I want to work on a wireless link, so the wii nunchuck can be separated from the servos.

y'know, I just had an idea. Why not use the Wwii nunchuck for a computer mouse? It would cut down on carpel tunnel....

No, wait, I'm sure somebody somewhere has already had that idea before me. Maybe Google can enlighten me concerning this potential intuitional inspiration....
