In an effort to keep the price low I found a great source for the 5VDPDT relay for the "Mousey the Junk Bot" Competition. Price is $1.25 each and if we order at least 10 then it will be $1.10 each. Shipping will be $7.00 regardless of how many we order. So the more people who want some the cheaper it will be.

ie. If we order 5 it will be $6.25 + $7.00 S/H divided by 5. So it would cost each person $2.65. Order 10 it would be $1.80 per person.

I will submit the order on Sunday March 8th in hopes of getting the parts by the next meeting.

Anyone needing the relay please reply to this post by 12:00 PM Sunday March 8th. Payment can be made when you get your parts.

Note: The only local source you can get the relay is at Randolph and Rice downtown for about $4.00. They may try selling you the $20.00 one first. Yes $20.00.

If anyone is looking for motors the one that Dustin found in a personal pocket fan from Dollar General will work. See "Patricks Junkbot" video for test results with this motor.

Do we need to make sure we get the other parts for ourselves?

I just saw Patrick's mousebot video. Nice! Were those the exact motors I described earlier... being powered by 9v safely?
I have a robot using these motors, and it needs more power. I just want to make sure before I potentially burn them out.

Steve,

I started the "Mousey the Junk Bot Parts Donation List" post to see what we have and what we still need to have donated. Hope that helps.
