Robotics Workshop - Deformable Object Manipulation

In this meeting we will use Microsoft Robotics Studio to design and implement a service to control the Lynxmotion 6 robotic arm for use in the Deformable Object Manipulation project. This is the second meeting of this group and all those who have signed on to this project are invited. These members don't need to rsvp to attend.

We just started this project last week and we have identified an approach. The project will use two robotic arms to fold clothes (socks) using some simplifying assumptions. The purpose of this workshop is to work through some issues and build a service using MS technology to control the robotic arm.

Audrey Moore Rec Center is about 1 minute from the beltway. Just take Braddock road West from the beltway, then take the first right into the rec center. Drive almost a mile and you will see it on the left. Lots of parking.

I'm opening this up to other members because we have room for at most 3-4 more people (currently have 6). If you want to follow along and build the service on your laptops, bring them. Just install MS Visual Studio (Express which is free works too). Also load your laptop with MSRS 1.5 (refresh) from here. This is also free.
